ABOUT

Mandy Beaumont is a poet and artist. She has been awarded the Arts QLD Mentoring Program and short listed for the prestigious, Val Vallis Award for poetry, NSW Writers Centre best self published book, Press Press Award and appeared in Best Australian Poems 2009.

Her books include: The Regular Correspondence of a Love Affair With Words and Aperture. Some of her chapbooks include – many a broken hearted woman and I tell her of the beautiful lines in her skin that rip apart my groin. She has been published in place likes The Courier Mail, 3am Magazine, RETORT, Get Underground, Paper Tiger and Ink Magazine.

She has performed for QWC – Wordpool, QPF, Two High Festival, SOOB, BWF, National Folk Festival, National Poetry Week, NYWF, MWF.

Mandy has also had her poems commissioned for various bars and cafes, the side of Brisbane’s iconic City Cat Ferries, on huge electronic signage for the Write around the Murray Festival and for telephone signal boxes on the streets of Brisbane.

She has also served as a board member of the Queensland Poetry Festival for many years and was the Director of Poetry After Dark.
